Tommy wanted to redeem himself in Laurel’s eyes to convince her she was his “one girl”. He changed and matured over the course of the season. Laurel became an object of affection for two ex-best friends, she did not develop beyond being surprised that two grown men (she had known for a long time) were both in love with her. I just really want her to be written well, because I want to like the girl that Oliver is with especially when it is not Felicity.
