my predictions for the end of Arrow season 2.
Roy will have a major part to play because of his exposure to miracle. This will spark memories of Oliver back on the island trying to control Slade with his ‘drug’ problem. The similarities will not be lost on Roy and he will have to decide which ‘mentor’ to follow Slade or Oliver. Oliver will try to find a cure to stop the drug but Slade will want to use Roy as part of his army. Roy will be pulled in between the two trying to be convinced by either one that their way is best. Thea will play a large role in helping Roy decide and because of this Merlyn will be on the sidelines waiting for the opportune moment to take his daughter away from the Queen Family. Roy thinks he can only rescue Thea by keeping his strength? Consequences he looses his arm?
Blood is just the face of Slade’s revenge against Oliver. When Oliver learns of Blood’s corruption after he endorses him for mayor it will be hard to go back on his word with out ruining his family’s name.
Oliver will have to confront his biggest ‘failure’ in Slade. He thinks he could have saved Slade. The question he asked Sara when he saw her again, ‘Where is Slade?’ was telling. I believe Oliver was the one who gave Slade the eye injury. Also his knowledge of the League of Assassins and surprise that Sara was part of them was telling as well. We have not seen the last of Dr. Ivo however I do not think he will make it to present day. Shado is dead but Oliver still does not have the dragon tattoo that Shado had, so that story still needs to be concluded.
Laurel will fall even further into problems, ironically I think it will be Laurel who will have a real ‘drug’ problem not Roy. Whether it’s her family or Oliver who gets her back, she still needs to go through her own crucible to have any right to call herself Black Canary. Sara will reveal herself to her mother though, I don’t think it will be like how she showed herself to her father. Also I think Laurel will find out differently as well, maybe Sara will be hurt they need a blood transfusion Laurel is best match, something like its last ditch effort not to reveal herself. Laurel will not be happy that Oliver and Sara kept the truth from her.
Felicity will have to deal with Oliver getting increasingly more obtuse about his Island time especially connected to Slade. She will struggle with him trusting her enough to know about the island. A talk with Sara might be how she gets a little more insight to Oliver’s past. I believe she will discover truths about Isabell and Nyssa. Felicity is the connection to Central City in where she might be on the phone more, maybe say the name Iris once or twice to slowly intro the Flash Centric characters into the storyline. A phone call about Barry being alive will come at a very dramatic time in the Oliver/Felicity relationship.
I don’t think Oliver has ever met Ra’s Al Ghul, Sara and Merlyn have. So Oliver will be introduced to him at some point as part of the plot. Maybe fight for Sara to be freed of the assassins? Maybe fight for the right to take Merlyn down (who he promised not to kill for Thea)? I also don’t think Slade is part of the assassins either, in the comics he was always for the highest bidder.
Walter will return and this will spark Moira to try and reconcile with him. Another reason why Merlyn will be vindictive against the Queen family.
Diggle will have more reasons to strike out on his own, but HIVE will show up in a few ways to connect some of the assassins back to a legitimate government agency. This will lead to Diggle finding out why his brother was a target and not accidentally killed keeping his payday safe.
In short the best action stunt & fights on any TV show. Great acting and writing in combination with the larger DC universe will give Arrow a very good second half to their already blockbuster sophomore season.
These are just my opinions. I have the right to be proven wrong by the writers and my guess is that they will surprise us all. These predictions are just for fun.
