A lot is being written about the romance between these two. In the comics well Felicity has never met Barry and Barry is happily married (unlike Oliver’s on-again-off-again with Dinah Laurel Lance/Black Canary). So to say they should stick to canon the comic fans would say what canon? I think this will push Oliver to show his feelings for Felicity. I think Felicity is reacting to a guy her IQ paying attention to her. Hoping we have a backstory at some point for both characters. Pretty much confirmed for Barry cause he is getting his own pilot.
